#ImperfectAndStrong: Women in Tech Get Real

February 22, 2017

Right now, only about 20% of technology workers worldwide are female. And even though we’ve seen how more women in technology translates into more innovation, broader perspectives, and stronger businesses, women often lack the confidence and support they need to enter the tech space. So, we wondered, how can we encourage more women to enter technology? How can we nurture a more diverse workforce for the future?

Benevity partnered with Chic Geek, a Calgary-based nonprofit supporting women in tech, to take a step toward creating more inclusion in the field. When we stopped by Geeky Summit -- Chic Geek's celebration of women in technology and entrepreneurship -- we asked women how they could transform what they thought of as imperfections into strengths. Their answers may surprise you!
